toothpaste was just toothpaste until my order at blank street coffee sounded like what i was brushing my teeth with.
his smile changed the game for me: pistachio, cinnamon bun, latte, whatever. sure, i had heard of marvis before hand, but i wasn’t mature enough to get it. and i do get it now (i think).
i get it so much that i walk past his smile discounted for £3 in tk maxx and don’t look twice. i grew past it.
i would also not dream of ever drinking blank street ever again.
his smile didn’t do me dirty or anything; we just grew apart. or maybe i grew apart, since the problem with his smile is that its formula stays the same. many people have reported online how irritating they find it on their gums. lots of toothpastes cause this, but most of them have been releasing sls-sensitive versions. marvis has the same problem, but for £9 you can now get a pink pack of sensitive-gum chicness.
marvis, to me, is gucci. italian, chic. alessandro michele is better than sabato, but it’s making a comeback with demna now.
it’s everywhere tho, and i don’t feel comfortable seeing it in those scandinavian annoying shops.
so i took it into my own hands to find an alternative. and that’s where i found burberry. british, also way better
before, although i do like their rebranding. 2025, what a fashion roller coaster.
the thing with burberry is that you can find it cheaper on vinted. and they have an amazing font.
and that’s where euthymol comes in. safe sls, vintage-looking, amazing font, good levels of fluoride
(not like his smile, which has less than… every other brand, hence people saying it makes their teeth yellow).
and so british.
so, i am going to be a euthymol advocate.
